I spent the day at my High School Reunion while Aaron hung out at home. Aaron told me while I was gone the dogs spent most of the time lounging around the house in unremarkable fashion.

When I got home in the evening, Delta gave me a crazy, happy welcome that only a Boxer can give. She repeatedly pounced on to the couch, balanced all four paws on the back of it and spun around, nearly tipping it over.

When I told her to sit and wait, she sat with big eyes, a Joker-like grimace on her jowls, and a nub about to light a friction fire on the carpet. I released her and she sprang up to continue her dance of joy.

I don’t know what I did to deserve that greeting, and I am not a fan of the furniture gymnastics, but it was still pretty damned charming.
